Organized Langhe Tours:
Ideas, Itineraries & Tailor-Made Experiences

Tours Designed Around Your Way of Traveling

Not everyone is looking for the same Langhe experience: some want to explore by bike, others prefer a Vespa, while many dream of wineries, breathtaking views, and unforgettable food stops. We’ll help you find the experience that suits your pace.

Local experiences, not generic packages.

We partner with wineries, agriturismos, guides, and trusted local providers we know personally. This ensures that every tour is authentic, thoughtfully curated, and truly connected to the local area.

A day, a weekend, or a longer stay.

You can start with a simple idea and turn it into a more complete experience: wine tours, e-bike rides, hiking, Vespa tours, lunch, wine tastings, and accommodation.

Do you already have an idea or want to let me advise you?

Choose from the various tours offered and we can start from there to build the tour that best suits you: same day, for a weekend or for several days.

Which Langhe tour is right for you?

The Langhe can be experienced in many ways: with a glass in hand, along a scenic road, by e-bike through the hills, on foot among rows and paths, or with a weekend designed with the right balance between experiences and free time.

We start with what you like to do, the time you have available, and the type of trip you imagine. Then we build a concrete proposal, with selected stops and realistic times.

Next, discover some ideas to start with.

Langhe tours for a day, a weekend, or a longer stay.

A journey through hills, vineyards, and unique villages

You can organize a simple trip to the Langhe or build a more complete experience. A day can be enough for a wine tour, a Vespa ride, a tasting walk, or an e-bike itinerary.

If you want to experience the area more calmly, we can add dinner, an overnight stay, a second experience, or free time.

Langhe tour from Turin, Milan or Alba

Every tour starts with a simple question: how are you getting here, and how much time do you have?

There are those who arrive in Alba by train, those who leave Turin or Milan by car, those who have already booked the overnight stay and are just looking for the right experiences to complete the journey.

That’s why we don’t offer a single itinerary for everyone. If you’re traveling without a car, we can organize a tour with NCC or a private van. If you have your own car, we can build a freer day or weekend, with wineries, lunches, walks, Vespas, e-bike or other selected experiences.

Our job is to help you choose what makes sense to actually do, with convenient times and well-connected milestones.

What to see in the Langhe

Tour of the Langhe Piedmont

It’s impossible not to fall in love with it, be amazed by the landscapes, and be moved by what a territory like the Langhe can offer.

UNESCO heritage, a land of renowned wines, picture-perfect landscapes, and good food: nothing better to spend an alternative day, weekend, or week. We want to introduce the Langhe by sharing some interesting tidbits with you.

If you’re looking for information about the Langhe, you’ve come to the right place.

Where are the Langhe located?

The Langhe are located in Piedmont, straddling the provinces of Cuneo and Asti. The territory is divided into low-altitude Langhe towns, high-altitude Langhe towns, and the Langhe Astigiane.

The territory is located a few km from Turin and is easily accessible within an hour’s drive, depending on the area you prefer to visit.

Why choose the Langhe region?

The Langhe is the ideal destination for a romantic weekend, a trip with friends and family, or a longer holiday.

They offer a variety of activities: sports, food and wine experiences, guided tours, scenic drives… We have tons of activities to offer, depending on your interests! The Langhe is for everyone: from 0 to 99 years old, a trip here will never disappoint.

Which villages to visit in the Langhe?

The road to Barolo offers breathtaking views, and any season is perfect for filling your eyes and heart as you travel through the rolling hills that lead to your destination. A Barolo potrai percorrere piccole strade caratteristiche in cui troverai storiche cantine, enoteche e ristoranti dove potrai gustare un ottimo pranzo o una cena. You will also find WiMu: the wine museum and the corkscrew museum, two unmissable stops when visiting the Langhe. The WiMu is located inside the Castle of the Marquises Falletti, where Silvio Pellico and Giulia di Barolo once lived. Finally, if you love legends, you will be fascinated by a visit to La Volta Castle in Bussia (2.5 km from Barolo).

Awarded the orange flag by the Touring Club of the Italian hinterland, this small municipality in the Langhe region has fewer than three thousand inhabitants but countless stories to tell. Walking through the town center, you can visit the church of the Confraternita di San Sebastiano, which has a small bookshop for tourists, showcasing authors from Piedmont and the Langhe region. Seven trails start in La Morra and can be enjoyed in company thanks to their simplicity. Walking along them, you can discover panoramic views, woods, and unique landscapes. The hiking trails in Langa offer landscapes rich in vineyards. In fact, the Langhe area includes part of the 43,500 hectares of vineyards (about 7% of Italy’s vineyards) of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato. To celebrate the hard work involved in working the land, La Morra is home to the monument to the Italian Winegrower.

Barbaresco has only one road: Via Torino, small but welcoming, leading to the thousand-year-old tower with its panoramic terrace. Thanks to the map on the terrace, you can discover the points of interest in the Langhe below. Finally, you will find a deconsecrated church that now houses the Enoteca del Barbaresco wine shop. In short, if life’s pleasures are made up of small, beautiful things, why not enjoy a peaceful walk, a glass of wine, and a unique sunset?

One of Italy’s most beautiful villages is Neive, where you can admire stunning landscapes from the village center. It seems like magic, yet it’s true: Neive charms and amazes. If you haven’t discovered it yet, now is the time to do so.

Home to the regional wine shop that selects the finest labels from the region to offer to all enthusiasts and curious visitors, a wide selection in one place, where you can purchase and discover the great wines of Piedmont. An excellent destination for the end of your vacation or weekend in the Langhe hills. Right inside Grinzane Castle, where the wine shop is located, the Order of the Knights of the Truffle and Wines of Alba was founded in 1967. It is an ancient food-and-wine brotherhood that originated in Grinzane Cavour. To promote and defend the culture of the region and the traditions of Piedmontese cuisine and local wines.

More city, less countryside, the capital of the Langhe region, famous for its Truffle Fair and the manufacturer of Kinder eggs. Alba is a city to explore on foot, immersing yourself in the historic center, visiting the Duomo, and venturing into restaurants that offer Piedmontese cuisine at different times of day.

Organized tours of the Langhe: a complete experience

Let’s start with organized tours in Italy.

Organized tours in Italy are an excellent way to experience this beautiful country authentically. Organized tours are available across Italy. Many types are available, including food and wine tours, always paired with city visits and, above all, excursions into magnificent nature. An organized tour allows you to enjoy the experience without having to worry about organizing everything yourself, finding times, addresses, and choosing from the many possibilities that might interest you.

Do you want something special? Are you looking for an authentic experience in Italy?

We recommend an organized tour of the Langhe, a region not yet well known to tourists, nestled in Piedmont in northwestern Italy. Organized Langhe tours are the perfect choice if you’re looking for northwestern food, wine, and experiences with a taste of authenticity. Here are some ideas for organizing your tour in Italy, especially in the Langhe.

The Langhe is a large, hilly area in Piedmont, in northwestern Italy. It’s known for fine wines, especially Barolo and Barbaresco. If you’re a food and wine enthusiast, an organized tour of the Langhe can be an ideal choice. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to visit local wineries, famous, small, and authentic, to taste some of the best wines in the world. You’ll also have the chance to enjoy local cuisine and discover the region’s gastronomic specialties—all with unforgettable views.

What you have to expect from a Langhe tour, organized just for you

On a tour of this part of Italy, you will have the opportunity to discover the beauty of the region. You will be able to choose from many tours on your own or, if you prefer, have a guide to accompany you during the Tour. During visits to the winery, you will always be accompanied by staff, many times by the owner, who will accompany you in the discovery of the magical world of winemaking. Excellent gastronomic products and tasting workshops will be must-sees. You will be able to discover the natural beauty of the region, such as the rolling hills and breathtaking landscapes.

Organized Langhe tours are available with many “means”: by bike, by wasp, on foot, by car or by rental car, with driver or without. It all depends on your preferences and budget. Some tours focus exclusively on food and wine, while others also include visits to medieval castles and villages. With a particular emphasis on the surrounding nature, which has earned this area its nomination as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014!

How to choose an organized Langhe tour

Many tour operators have now discovered this beautiful area of Italy. They offer packages of varying lengths and price points to suit different budgets. I recommend choosing a reliable, quality, local tour operator if you want to guarantee a memorable experience. Here are some factors to consider when choosing an organized Langhe tour (but which generally apply whenever you have to make these choices):

  1. Experience: Choose a tour operator with consolidated experience in the Langhe region. This way, you’ll have up-to-date information and can discover even lesser-known corners!
  2. Customer Reviews: Read customer reviews on tour operator websites or on TripAdvisor. This way, you can get an idea of the experiences offered to those who came before you!
  3. Services Offered: Check the services the tour operator offers, such as transportation, driving, wine tastings, and lunch. Make sure the price includes all the services you want. See if they already have well-described packages with the price highlighted. Together, these packages create a journey you can tailor to yourself. And certainly without price surprises!
  4. Price: Choose an organized Langhe tour that is within your budget. However, remember that price isn’t the only factor to consider. Always evaluate the service’s quality-to-price ratio.

FAQs about Langhe tours

Piedmont experiences

The average time needed for a good tour to discover the Langhe region for the first time varies from one to three days. That said, it’s up to you. There are so many things to do in the Langhe region that even a more extended vacation can be exciting!

If your goal is a wine tour, there are many wineries to visit. Some famous ones include Ceretto, Vietti, Bruno Giacosa, Gaja, and Prunotto. But there are endless other small wineries with excellent products; they will surprise you! Want to organize your own wine tour? Follow Ideas for a Langhe wine tasting

The Langhe are famous for their gastronomic specialties, including white truffle, raw meat, fondue, bagna cauda, agnolotti “del plin” and many more!

I’ll get back to you with some advice on how to organize a Langhe Tour by car.

If you’ve decided to come to Piedmont for a short or longer vacation, I recommend having a car. This way, you can organize the Langhe tour in the best possible way. Public transport isn’t convenient enough to plan your trip well.

In one of the articles published on our blog, I proposed a Langhe tour by car in search of castles: Castelli of the Langhe, between the Middle Ages and the Vineyards. But many of our wine tours or gastronomic tours actually involve the car.

In our pages you can also choose Tours by other means of transport: bike, wasp, trekking. If you want to use public transport, I recommend arriving by train (connections from Turin every hour), and then I can organize a day with a car and driver so you don’t have to think about anything. Enjoy the view and a glass of wine without the hassle of driving!

There are connections from Alba to many towns in the Langhe, but it’s hard to match the schedules and make the most of a short holiday!

If you’re thinking of taking a trip to the Langhe, message me. I am a “langhetta” who lives in the Roero. I know these hills and have walked, cycled, driven and wasp driven. I chose to convert my love for this land into my work. Every new corner I know inspires me with a new experience to propose.

I can only say to you: I’m waiting for you!
