What’s included

A journey through Barolo, among those who are just starting and those who have made history

The day begins at lunchtime, in the hills of Verduno, in a small winery surrounded by vineyards. Here, wine is born from a courageous choice: that of a young couple who decided to take a chance and produce Barolo with their own hands, day after day, far from the spotlight of the big names.

During the visit, they will tell you about their journey, the difficulties, the satisfactions, and the profound meaning of making wine today. It is an authentic, direct encounter composed of questions, stories, and shared curiosities.
The visit ends with a convivial tasting, designed to accompany lunch:

  • at least 5 wines to taste, including Barolo

  • platters of typical cold cuts and cheeses, focaccia, and polenta crostini

  • a plate of tajarin with local black truffles, served calmly, just like at home

An authentic lunch, not just a tasting: time to taste, talk, and understand.

In the afternoon, the story changes tone.

We enter a historic and prestigious winery, one of those that have helped make Barolo known throughout the world. The guided tour takes us to the aging cellars, among Slavonian and French oak barrels, where time is an integral part of the wine.

“crescendo” tasting follows this in a private room, which takes the palate on a journey through increasingly structured and profound red wines:

  • Langhe DOC Arneis

  • Barbera d’Alba DOC Superiore

  • Langhe DOC Nebbiolo

  • Barolo DOCG

A fascinating comparison of different styles, visions, and maturities, which completes the day with awareness and intensity.

End of the experience in the late afternoon, around 6:00 PM.

A day that is not just a wine tour, but a close encounter with two souls of Barolo:
Those who are building their dream today and those who have made it eternal over time.

Formula B - Tasting with all the senses

Formula B – Barolo with All Your Senses

Winery visit, lunch, and blind tasting experience

A day designed for those who don’t just want to “taste” Barolo, but to learn how to recognize it, listening to their senses and setting labels aside.

Lunch and wine tasting at the winery

The first stop is at lunchtime, at a family-run winery surrounded by vineyards in the Langhe, in the heart of the Barolo production area.
After a visit to the production and aging areas, you will settle into a bright tasting room for a light lunch at the winery, informal yet carefully curated, designed to accompany the wines without overpowering them.

The menu, which may vary according to the season, may include:

  • artisan mini pizzas and focaccia
  • frittatas and simple traditional dishes
  • fresh seasonal salads
  • cold skewers and a board of local cured meats and cheeses

Everything is paired with 3–4 wines from the winery, authentic expressions of the local terroir.

A convivial, unhurried moment that helps set the right rhythm for the day.

Blind tasting: Barolo without labels

In the afternoon, you will move to a second winery, still within the Barolo area, to enjoy a different and surprising experience: a guided blind tasting.

After a brief visit to the winery and an introduction to the producer family, you will be led through a sensory journey of 3 wines, tasted with covered bottles and dark glasses.
With sight removed, you will be invited to focus on aromas, structure, balance, and persistence, putting your sense of smell and taste to the test.

The tasting is accompanied by breadsticks and local hazelnuts, to keep the focus on the wines and the sensory experience.

A simple, engaging, and highly effective way to discover Barolo with all your senses, going beyond habit and expectations.

End of the experience in the late afternoon.

A well-balanced formula that combines conviviality, territory, and awareness, ideal for those who wish to experience Barolo in an authentic, curious, and unconventional way.
