Survival path, in the woods, in the Langhe, by night!
SlowDays becomes SlowNight and ventures into the wildest night! What do we want to offer you? Your bachelorette party, bachelor party, birthday reunion or your craving for something different with friends will also find an adventurous nighttime offering.
I think you have already seen our Survival courses and Laser Tag adventures–but those were during the day! Now we want to introduce you to the night survival course!
Let’s start with the basics of survival courses.
You like the Langhe, you want to have a good time, you like to get some adrenaline rush, the night in a tent intrigues you … but you’re not really into extreme sports? Then continue reading…
What is needed to survive in the woods?
First of all, water. Thirst is the first risk to avoid. In order to survive, water is essential. Because having even water you can survive up to three days. Look for the spring right away, because as the hours pass you will be more tired and you will not be able to go long distances.
In our Survival Course, you will arrive at the agreed meeting area and meet with the Guide. You will be near a Pond. But you will not have to get water from there 🙂 After an initial explanation, introductions and some briefing … we will proceed with the wild aperitif where with wine we will try to quench the thirst!
What should I do if I get lost in the woods?
Take a direction, obviously better in daylight and with light to help you get your bearings. If you remember where you came from even better take the same direction again. Follow keeping the same direction and trust that the woods will eventually end. When you are in the open area you will be able to orient yourself more easily.
On the survival route in the Langhe, you will be in a well-defined area. You will have the guide within voice distance. And you will be in an area where the cell phone … gets reception!
What can you eat in the woods?
There are various edible plants in the forest. If you happen to want to try your hand at plant recognition, I recommend a nice APP that I use out of curiosity many times. It’s called Plant Net.
On our “extreme survival course” nights you will appropriately begin with a wonderful barbecue of vegetables and meats, all together around the campfire. With a few nice glasses to accompany it. You won’t have to recognize the vegetables with any APP. But they will explain how to do it!
Woods, night, Langhe for this exciting journey of survival.
Certainly these are not choices that suit everyone
The Langhe are synonymous with Slow experiences, good living, great wines and good food.
But more and more, the Langhe are also appreciated for various outdoor sports, biking in the lead, but also trekking that allow you to experience the most authentic landscapes and the true rhythm in contact with the land.
We crave nature more and more. Humans feel a strong need to get back in touch with mother earth.
This taste of survival in the woods of the Langhe, may be introduction for future trials, who knows. Certainly it may be a way to cement a friendship and challenge fears together.
Stargazing: Have you tried looking at a starry sky on any given night? Surely you will have a very limited view because the lights will disturb the observation of the sky. During the night, when all the lights are off, the sky is revealed to the eyes that will feel like looking at it.
Have you ever tried walking in the dark? But not on smooth and easy ground, but on uneven ground with some hindrances. One becomes fearful of stretching the next step, of finding an obstacle that surprises.
But all in the quietest supervision of a guide. Fear not, this will not be an adventure beyond your reach: Because the Langhe is like that: enveloping, intriguing and surprising.
The last question might be.
How much does a Survival Trail cost?
The initial route should introduce you to a real survival course, next. The cost depends on the number of days and the level of autonomy you want to achieve. You have to calculate an average high financial commitment, but with a nice return on investment.
In Survival Langhe, the price per survival course is definitely friendly!
