PATH INSIGHTS
The vineyard of pastels
Why put giant pencils to mark out the rows? But to be noticed, right? At first, the vineyard owner’s idea was to restrict his vineyard from his neighbor’s to indicate to those working for him where they should stop…from there be,coming to a tourist attraction is a short step!
We are located near the little church in Coazzolo. A not-long path takes you to the Vigna dei Pastelli. It is a private vineyard, which you can savor by taking a short walk. You’ll come across a row of crayons, colors with lots of sharp points, giant and colorful. They pop out of the ground at the beginning of each row. They are cute, cheerful, and ingenious!
Let your gaze drift over the horizon, and among the valleys and hills, you’ll also be introduced to Monviso, the mountain of the “langhetti,” who see it a little from every height.
A walk in Neive, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy
This is a place not to be missed if you come to the Langhe! Neive has been listed among the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy for a few years now, and of course, there is more than one reason to visit it
Neive, what to see?
In Neive, it is nice to be amazed, to walk in the alleys, to discover the wine shops; the views of the Langhe are incomparable.
There are several wineries in the village, some that can be visited even without a reservation if it is not high season (such as the Cantina del Glicine, that is very interesting and dates back to 1582)
There are several restaurants of all levels…look for the one with ivy all over the facade…we’re sure you can’t miss photographing it!
Camo’s open-air museum
We told you that this tour had as its theme whimsical “langhetti”…. Claudio Lorenzoni is one of them: since 2013 he has been hosting the works of young artists who leave their jobs in this beautiful museum that can be visited free of charge every day of the year by anyone looking for inspiration.
