Travelling with friends
A day trip or a holiday

A weekend with friends in the Langhe: where do you start?

It begins with the desire to spend time together, chat without watching the clock and share something special: a long lunch, a walk, a toast, a slow day or an entire weekend just for you.

We have gathered a selection of ideas for groups of friends who want to enjoy the Langhe at a relaxed pace: wellness, wine, nature, games, good food and small special moments.

Choose the style that feels most like you.

Choose your style and we will help you create the right day

The proposals you have seen are starting points: some work perfectly as day experiences, while others can become a weekend with an overnight stay, dinner or an additional activity.

Tell us how many people are in your group, where you are travelling from, how much time you have and the atmosphere you are looking for. We will help you choose the most suitable combination, with realistic timings and activities already tried and tested in the Langhe.

Ready for a holiday and time together? Let's begin:

Sometimes it takes very little to feel the need to get away together.

One weekend with friends begins with the desire to spend time together, talk without watching the clock and share a long lunch, a walk or a toast.

It may be the perfect opportunity for colleagues who see each other every day but never have enough time for a real conversation; for friends who live far apart; for school friends who arrange a reunion every year; or for a group of “girls with a few decades of experience” who want to relax, laugh and enjoy being looked after for a while.

Even when a whole weekend is not possible, a single day can still feel special: simply choose an experience that helps you switch off, change pace and create a shared memory.

Where to go and how to plan it:

The Langhe are perfect for a weekend with friends because they combine scenery, wine, good food and small experiences to enjoy at a relaxed pace.

You can start in Alba, travel between Barolo, La Morra, Barbaresco and the wine hills, and choose a winery, a walk, a spa, a picnic, an e-bike tour or a special dinner.

There is no need to fill every moment of the programme: often it is enough to choose the right theme — relaxation, food and wine, nature or fun — and leave room for conversation, laughter and the pleasure of being together again.

This is also what SlowDays means to us: we believe in slow, shared travel without unnecessary rushing.

The steps to a stress-free holiday with friends

⏳ How much time do you have?

A whole weekend or just one day? Even a single day can work beautifully when it follows the right rhythm: arrival, an experience, lunch or a tasting, some free time and a stress-free journey home.

✨ What kind of atmosphere are you looking for?

Relaxation, wine, nature, fun, a gentle activity or something original? The important thing is to avoid programmes that are too full or unsuitable for the group. Choose one theme that appeals to most of your friends.

💬 A few clear questions

Possible dates, approximate budget, willingness to drive and a preference for relaxation, food and wine, outdoor activities or a fun experience. Too many options can simply make the decision harder.

🚗 Cars and arrivals

The Langhe are a hilly area, and travelling by car is often the most convenient option. How many cars will you have? Who prefers to drive? Are you all arriving from the same place, or do you need an easy meeting point?

☕ Leave some free time

I am not trying to sell you as many experiences as possible. I want to offer you well-planned time that allows you to enjoy and strengthen your friendship. The name is SlowDays for a reason: fast experiences are not our style!

Frequently asked questions to make the most of your time together.

Yes, certainly. Many SlowDays proposals work perfectly as day experiences: a treasure hunt, an e-bike tour, a horse ride, a wine tasting, a spa, a picnic or something more unusual.

A single day can be ideal when you are travelling from Piedmont, Lombardy, Liguria or another area that is not too far away. The important thing is to choose a programme with realistic timings, allowing you to enjoy the experience without rushing.

Yes. Although some experiences are often arranged for bachelorette parties, they are equally suitable for groups of friends, colleagues, school friends, sisters, cousins or small groups who simply want to spend time together again.

The atmosphere changes according to the group: it can be a relaxing day, a food-and-wine weekend, an experience in nature, a game through villages and clues or a small special moment to share.

In many cases, yes. The Langhe are a hilly area of villages, wineries, farmhouse restaurants and scenic viewpoints that are not always connected by public transport.

For some experiences, you will therefore need to travel in your own cars. When we prepare your programme, we provide addresses, timings and meeting points, helping you organise the day more easily and understand how many cars are needed.

Yes. Many experiences can become a more complete proposal by adding dinner, a night at a selected property or a second activity.

Some packages are already designed as weekends; others begin as day experiences but can be combined with accommodation, dinner or extra moments. Tell us what you have in mind and we will help you understand which combination works best.

The easiest way is to begin with a few questions: how many people are in the group, where you are travelling from, how much time you have, your approximate budget and the atmosphere you are looking for.

Relaxation, nature, food and wine, games, gentle activity or something more unusual? You do not need to have everything worked out already: tell us about your group and we will help you choose a proposal suited to your pace, age range, interests and available time.

It depends on the chosen experience. Some outdoor activities can still go ahead in uncertain weather; others can be adapted, moved or replaced with more suitable alternatives.

When the weather may affect the experience, we assess the situation with you in the preceding days and explain the available alternatives. Our aim is always to create a pleasant and safe day without last-minute improvisation.

The earlier you contact us, the better, particularly when you are looking for a weekend with accommodation, a Saturday date or a popular period such as spring, summer or the grape harvest.

A simple day experience may require less notice, but larger groups and proposals involving several services should book earlier. This gives us more opportunities to find suitable accommodation, wineries and activities for your group.

When you are looking for a weekend with friends in Piedmont, the Langhe are an excellent destination, combining villages, hills, wine, good food and many experiences to enjoy at a relaxed pace.

Alba is a convenient starting point, with Barolo, La Morra, Barbaresco, Neive and the Alta Langa all nearby. In one day, you can choose one main activity; with an overnight stay, you can add dinner, a spa, a tasting or a second, lighter experience.

It depends on the group and the kind of day you imagine. For a relaxing experience, choose a spa, yoga, a picnic or a private hill. For something more active, there are e-bikes, horse riding and walks in nature. Treasure hunts and game-themed activities work especially well for groups looking for fun.

The idea is not to fill the programme, but to choose one or two experiences that allow you to be together, talk, laugh and enjoy the Langhe at the right pace.

Yes. With more time, a simple experience can become a short holiday with friends in the Langhe, including one or two nights, dinner, a tasting or an additional activity.

For groups travelling from farther away, a weekend with accommodation lets you enjoy everything more slowly: arrival, the main experience, dinner, a night at a selected property and perhaps a more flexible second day exploring villages, wineries and scenic views.
