General informations
The weekend takes place between Alba and the hills of the Barolo and Barbaresco Langhe.
We prepare the route and recommend where to stop, while the SlowBox recipient enjoys the freedom of travelling by Vespa at their own pace.
The duration depends on the selected option:
- Vespa Getaway: 2 days and 1 night.
- Vespa Full Weekend: 3 days and 2 nights.
The Vespa is included for one full day in both options.
A minimum purchase of 2 SlowBoxes is required. Any additional purchases must be in multiples of two.
Overnight stay is quoted in double rooms with bathroom. There is one Vespa for every two people.
When you redeem your voucher, we’ll help you choose the best times to enjoy a relaxed weekend and plan your Vespa tour.
Transportation during the tour is independent. You must have a car; public transportation is not suitable for this type of tour. The car can be parked in the Vespa pick-up area.
The SlowBox Weekend is a flexible gift experience:
– purchase today, choose the package, and send the voucher by email (to yourself or the recipient);
– The recipient has 12 months to contact us, suggest dates, and book their weekend.
The experiences are always private or for small groups, with no fixed dates. The weekend can be enjoyed from mid-March to mid-November, at your preferred pace and in your preferred season. We refer to weekends, but there is no issue with redeeming the travel package on weekdays.
If the recipient of the gift wants a different experience, they can replace the box set with one of equal value or upgrade to one of higher value, paying the difference.
- Select the SlowBox, enter the required information, and the delivery email address for the voucher (yours or the recipient’s).
- Credit card: the voucher will arrive in a few minutes via email (check your SPAM folder).
- Bank transfer: complete the order, send the receipt; we will send the voucher during office hours after the payment has been registered.
- The voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
- Tours are available from mid-March to mid-November.
- To book: write to claudia@slowdays.it, indicating your voucher code and desired date.
- We will respond within 48 hours. Please book at least 15 days in advance (preferably 1 month if you plan to stay overnight).
No problem: the recipient can replace the SlowBox with another experience of equal value.
The Langhe region is located in Piedmont, northern Italy, south of Turin. It is easily accessible by car (via the Asti Est exit) from the A21 motorway or by train on the Turin–Alba line.
For this experience, you will need your own vehicle or a rental car.
To drive the Vespa, a license A or B is sufficient, but minimal driving experience on two-wheeled vehicles is required.
one Vespa for every two people is expected. You can request a Vespa per person for a supplement, after checking availability.
In case of bad weather or uncertain conditions, SlowDays will agree with those using the voucher on the possible solution.
Depending on availability and conditions we can postpone, adapt or modify the experience, trying to preserve its spirit and value.
