Please get to know this King of the Reds, talk to the people who produce it, and wander among these hills and vineyards. Alternate your day with a light lunch, visit, and tasting in a first winery. Then continue in the afternoon with a second visit to a characteristic winery of Barbaresco.
How will be organized your day of Visit to Barbaresco wineries, formula Lunch:
- You will go as the first stop to Barbaresco, a winery where “A family always linked to Barbaresco and its precious fruits, with a rich experience, but a young and open approach to innovation.” Why at least? Because this young and gritty producer will want to tell you all about his wines and winery! A rich tasting with many tastings (almost a full-fledged light lunch) and a roundup of at least five wines of their production.!
- Second stop, Neive. A charming village that deserves a walk. Here you will find a winery, not very old but is certainly now known abroad and among connoisseurs. The company belongs to the hills around Neive. A tradition, a love for quality, and a lot of dedication do the rest. A rich tasting of 5 wines, including 2 Barbaresco cru, will allow you to get your idea of the wines of this area.

The quality level of the cellars of the Langhe is now undisputed. The Barbaresco produced in these areas shows off in the most famous wine shops and on the most quoted tables. SlowDays has always tried to offer various facets of production. If possible, mass tourism avoids the most “abused” destinations. Today for you two beautiful names of the production of Barbaresco.
How will be organized your day visit to wineries in Barbaresco, formula Top Taste:
- You will go as the first stop to Treiso, a historic winery. Of those that have followed the evolution of many others. First, the cultivation of the vineyard for their own needs, then the delivery of the grapes for production, and then the decision to take care of all the stages of production and be responsible for quality. Here you will visit the winery, sharing the family philosophy, and then two dishes, an appetizer and a first course, accompanied by two wines of their production.
- Visit the Tower of Barbaresco. The symbol of these areas. The viewpoint is not to be missed. Entrance to the Tower, get ready to take pictures!
- Third stop Barbaresco: A historic winery that sinks its history in the eighteenth century. Elegant wines in a magnificent cellar. You will taste 4 wines including a Barbaresco, in the lounge overlooking the vineyards! The first land purchased in 1650.

The Barbaresco Winery Visit, in its various formulas, is an experience that is not affected by the weather conditions and, therefore, can be carried out even in case of rain. For other situations in which you wish to cancel, we ask you to consult the site’s conditions.
The Tour will be booked, according to availability, on dates and times that will take into account your needs. All tours are INDEPENDENT TOURS. Transport is not included.
All the details of the Barbaresco tasting, including the names of the wineries and the addresses, will be communicated after the confirmation and payment of the Tour. The wineries are not already booked, so the program may be subject to minor changes compared to the description, depending on the availability of the day.

Barbaresco Tasting between beautiful wineries and hills
Who is the Barbaresco tasting for?
The characteristics of Barbaresco, a structured wine, characteristic color of a beautiful full and mature red, intense and pleasant to the nose. The intensity of its flavor and scent does not reach the levels of Barolo, but, in some ways, it makes it a more pleasant and “easy” wine to taste. It is aimed at a more ambious audience of wine lovers. Both to those who already have a palate accustomed to important tastes, and to those who prefer less full-bodied and intense wines. They will tell you that by tasting it, you will find rose and violet, as perfumes, and then wild strawberry and cherries in the flavor. It’s something to really try!
Where to taste the Barbaresco?
Barbaresco gives off both the olfactory sensations and the gustatory sensations but, in the production cellars, it will also fill your eyes with many other sensations. The cellars of Barbaresco are also beautiful to visit. The producers will let you taste their best Barbaresco and you will be enchanted!
How many producers of Barbaresco?
The production area of Barbaresco is not very large. Area around Alba, includes 4 municipalities, Barbaresco, Neive, Treiso, San Rocco. In all about 700 hectares of Nebbiolo. The producers are divided into two categories: those that give their production (in part or totally) to the Cantina dei Produttori di Barbaresco and those that sell directly. In all there are more than 100 producers and their products are characterized by CRU. They are called cru, the names based on the vineyard and the particular location.

Weekend Amiche in relax nelle Langhe Claudia di Slowdays é stata la soluzione ideale per organizzare un tour nelle Langhe all'ultimo minuto. Avendo poco tempo per organizzare mi sono affidata a lei e il risultato è stato impeccabile. Abbiamo trovato ospitalità e gentilezza in luoghi stupendi. Il tour comprendeva degustazione vini in una cantina di Barbaresco, pomeriggio in SPA ad Alba, cena con degustazione dei piatti locali e pernottamento a Guarene. Ero in compagnia di un'amica e siamo state entrambe benissimo. Da rifare!
Wine Discovery Tour We initially signed up for a day tour of the Barolo region (Langhe). Due to the fantastic response time and ease of setting up a great trip, we decided to do a second day.
Fabio picked us up at our hotel in Torino on time and was pleasant and knowledgeable about the area and wines. Most importanly, he is a very cautious driver.
The wineries were a delight, even more friendly that was expected with tours from family members themselves. Our wine discussions so informative and delightful that we were often late for the next event. This is not a critique on Fabio, he was very professional and updated the next winery ahead of time.
The lunches at the various wineries were what you would expect at a trattoria more so than a typical (Napa Valley) winery. It was multicourse versus just salame and cheese.
We highly reccomend the Langhe region, the wines and the services provided by Claudia, Fabio, Laura and the rest at Slow Day.
Giornata stupenda nelle Langhe Ho conosciuto slowdays in occasione di un addio al nubilato al quale ho partecipato qualche mese fa e ci eravamo trovate molto bene quindi ho deciso di cogliere l'occasione per un regalo originale per il compleanno di mia mamma. Dopo aver dato un'occhiata al sito, che propone interessanti suggerimenti e idee di attività per diversi gusti ed esperienze, ho contattato la signora Claudia che mi ha seguita con disponibilità e professionalità per organizzare una giornata perfetta per me e mia mamma. In base alle mie richieste, ha organizzato due tappe nelle cantine con degustazione e un pranzo, stando attenta alle nostre esigenze e interessi. Anche i partner locali che abbiamo visitato sono stati molto professionali e disponibili, e le visite interessanti, oltre al pranzo buonissimo e ovviamente le degustazioni super! Terrò sicuramente presente slowdays per altri regali o per l'organizzazione di giornate fuori porta!
