I am Claudia, the creator of Slowdays. For 5 years now I have been working on my creature, born from the passion for my territory and with the ambition and desire to create pleasant moments for all those who want to know it. Nothing more and, I hope, nothing less! Little by little I realized that alone you can’t go far and so I collaborate with many friends who give me a hand to give shape to this dream and who contribute to create our “slow” network. Our clients are also part of this ever-growing network, because in some way they resemble us and share our style and values.

I have collaborators who love the territory and the SlowDays project in the same way. The turtle logo and the green colors have a very specific meaning. I mean the turtle as an experience at your own pace and I mean the green as loving nature and respecting it!

We have always lived in this wonderful territory and we can’t wait to introduce you to it by adjusting to your pace, as long as you feel like slowing down and…smiling!

We are “artisans” and we want to remain so. We don’t know if it’s the right choice, but in this fast paced world it’s the only choice we feel we share.

Every trip, every experience, is built as if it were for a friend of ours. The customer is not always right, but they are always at the center of our thoughts. The point of view is always that of the visitor, with his tastes, needs and preferences. All this is reflected in our products with which we try to satisfy the “typical customer” who comes to us … and if you do not find what you are looking for you can always ask us to customize your experience! In our mind there is much more than what you can put on a site!

We offer everything we like about the area in which we live and we do it for small groups of friends, families, couples, for all those who want to celebrate an event, an anniversary or simply want to enjoy a few moments of escape. Experiences of a few hours or several days. You can choose the all-inclusive formula or just some of our small incursions in a trip organized entirely by you.

You can choose between the packages that we offer on the site or request something customized.

The experiences are made and built at the time of the request by us according to the availability of the moment and your requests.

That’s why sometimes I might say no, that I don’t have availability…maybe the experience is available but we don’t have the time to organize it. That’s why we ask you as much as possible to contact us in advance. And that’s also why we can’t make you buy the packages on the website, but we have to confirm availability later.

I can not guarantee that the day you come will be perfect because it would be a useless publicity stunt! I can not even guarantee the weather forecast! Surely I can’t guarantee that you won’t have some little mishap (a flat tire, for example!).

But I can guarantee that your tour will not be something standard, out of the glossy catalog with everything ready and organized. It will be something that will try to meet your needs to make you appreciate and enjoy this territory.

If after I send you the quote you are not satisfied and you don’t even want to discuss an alternative … no problem! Satisfied or refunded. I prefer the customer to be happy with their choice. That’s it, that’s my guarantee

In order to answer this question, I need to explain how I work. I can define SlowDays as an aggregator of experiences. My work over the last few years has been research work. I count with a very large archive of suppliers, catalogued according to their type, size and experiences that we have agreed upon together.

For each tour I propose, there are many possible combinations. I choose them on the basis of different parameters: the client’s request, the supplier’s availability, the logistics of the tour, the time of the year and other variables (which are something more that I won’t reveal to you). Certainly the price variable is not the most important one!

When you ask me for a tour, what happens? Based on the parameters I described before, I choose the suppliers who can be involved in this occasion. For some I have to ask for availability, while for others (most, I don’t).

After the quote and your confirmation, I check all the availabilities and define in detail the details of your Tour. And only then can I describe the details of everything to you.

I can’t, and frankly I don’t want to, organize everything in detail before I even have your confirmation. It would be too much work and it would have an impact on prices that I don’t think it’s fair to charge the clients who choose to travel with me.

I worked years to build this network of suppliers and design the experiences I offer. To this day, it’s still my core business. I offer packages at any time of the year and for any number of people.

Do you think it’s an odd way to work? Maybe it is, but it’s ours and it’s the only one we feel like pursuing right now. The alternative would be to offer experiences that are all a bit the same, in the wineries where everyone goes with guided tours with a stopwatch…and then I would be going against our dream!

b.Preparation

We realize that you may not have a printer at hand when you are traveling, so you don’t need to have a printed copy. However, we do require that you show proof of identity to match your booking and possibly the order number that was sent to you with the voucher (in the case of gift vouchers).

Wear whatever is comfortable. It is recommended to have a sturdy pair of broken-in trail shoes, boots, or sneakers. It is preferable to dress in layers and wear clothing that will wick away perspiration and keep you dry and comfortable

Not much, remember our trips are all-inclusive. We do suggest you bring appropriate clothing to fit the season and a day pack to carry extra snacks and water. If there are other instructions will be indicated in the program that we will send you a few days before the tour.

c.Reservation

You must call 72 hours ahead of your scheduled tour for a full refund. Within 72 hours you will assess a Eur35 termination fee. There are no refunds for cancellations within 24 hours of your tour, or if you decide not to show up.

I could tell you that we should be a little more able to live experiences for what they are, that just because it’s an experience I can’t be 100% sure it’s completely to my liking until I’ve lived it. No, we’re sorry. After your confirmation I will send you all the addresses (within 10 days of confirmation if there is less than a month to the date, otherwise you’ll have to wait a few more days) and if there is something wrong we can talk about it and find alternatives or I can give you back the 10%.

If instead we talk about outdoor activities, we can find alternatives such as wine tastings in a winery, lunches in a tavern … or if you can, we could postpone!

If it doesn’t rain with intensity some activities can still be done!

The 10% of the deposit paid at the time of confirmation will not be refunded.

If the number of participants changes: Only one unit, you had to be in 9 and you will be in 8 for example, we will recalculate the balance and the person who will not come will not have to pay the balance. Except for any fixed costs such as an exclusive guide for your group and in case of particularly small groups that would not allow us to cover the expenses “alive”.

In case of major variations, we will evaluate the moment with the utmost transparency and flexibility as we have always done with all groups.

In case of cancellations due to force majeure (e.g. regional blocks related to Covid), we can postpone or cancel the event.

Time is the dearest friend of customizations

If you book well in advance you will have an advantage for sure!  It is not always possible at the last minute, while we guarantee the standard hen party packages, even with less advance … of course if the date is available!
The number also plays into customization. The more of you there are, the easier it will be for us to create something customized at low cost…otherwise if there are only a few of you, the costs become a bit too high and you end up not doing a good job!

Then, after you’ve gathered signups and set a date, write me right away! The sooner you do, the more confident you’ll be that you’ll get just what you want on the date you choose!

At my confirmation you will be asked for an advance payment of 10% of the whole package as a deposit that will not be returned in case of cancellation (10% is not a big amount but it protects us for the expenses we have to incur anyway for the organization). The balance is to be paid within 10 days before the event.

You can pay by bank transfer or credit card. One person will have to take charge of the payment, so this one will have to collect the money in time from the others.

The bride’s share, unless special conditions specified in the packages, is to be divided among the other guests.

We do hike in the rain, snow, wind and any other weather conditions that nature decides to throw at us. After all, we’re going on adventures! If the weather is unsafe for any reason, the trip will be changed or postponed. You will be notified the week of your trip if there are changes due to weather.
